mostly, people treat others how they themselves want to be treated so I try to mirror what my individual friends do when they interact with me because I know they're showing me love in their specific way so I want to make sure they understand i love them back by reciprocating that action. if it's hugs, or verbal hype, or gifts, whatever.

Ask any nurse who works in a hospital…when a man is ill his wife will be there for him 100%. When a woman is ill, more often than not it is other females in her life, a daughter, sister etc who will be there.

When I make a meal for the family and serve everyone’s up, run and get them drinks and what condiments etc that they want then I sit down and they’re just about finished and they all get up and walk away leaving me to eat alone. That sting stays with you ❤️🩹

I live close to Disney and Universal in Orlando and are AP, now bc I've read too many comments from moms saying they are never in photos, I go out of my way to make sure I offer to take a family photo while subtly shaming dads.

I can't tell you how often I'm ridiculed for not being married or having children like something is wrong with me and I couldn't "land" a man. I just wasn't willing to sacrifice my light, my spirit, my worth, my soul unless a man saw me, accepted me and stood by me. I'm 68 and don't regret my choice rather than minimize myself.

I was out late and my son was watching my location. He turned the porch light on and unlocked the front door for me. It’s only ever been him and I. I raised him alone. I accepted that it would always only ever be me, into adulthood, into my golden years. But with him, at least I did something right.
