My mother in law came over, picked up all the dirty laundry (I had two young kids), brought it home and then brought it back washed & folded. I’m pretty sure she had my daughter help her put it away as well

absolutely nothing I'm on my own with my kids only my brother who helps me with somethings that I can't afford to do as it is a lot especially when you are a single parent

A friend used to call me and put his phone on speaker. Then he and his wife would sit down and eat dinner and just talk like normal people. They'd let me listen to normal activity. Just regular, every day conversation. That really helped.

nothing helped. 23 years together since I was 21 i was with him longer in life then my own parents. its been 3 years and I still cry daily. however it doesn't take my breath away all the time now. its just laying in bed at night knowing ill never feel his arms again

3 days after I went to Dickeys barbecue in Pecos Texas where I lived and the manager paid for my meal then sat with me and talked He then prayed for me and for my husbands peace. Something I will never forget. A stranger did more for me than anyone else.💔

After my husband died my sister moved in for over a month… I didn’t make any decisions, didn’t need to cook, do laundry, feed pets, mow lawns…. Nothing. She took care of planning and an army of family and friends did the rest. It was a gift I vaguely remember, but I feel every day.
