But I've taken up animation as another way to share my stories, and to bring characters I love to life. Through this process I've learned to study, study, and study. Learn from those who know. Observe. Through it comes growth. By putting out there for you what I've learned, step by step, I can say that at each moment I have not been ashamed. I can say confidently that at times I have been a flea. At times I have been an ant. I have acknowledged where I am, and where I am going, and by mentors and materials, I have grown from acorn to sproutling. And the integrity of my growth you are witnesses. Many of you are responsible it. "A worker who has no need to be ashamed": I have been dedicated laborer who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and avoids sloppy or misleading work. This is what the Apostle Paul was encouraging the young minister, Timothy, to be in his growth. In the New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition (NRSVUE), 2 Timothy 2:15 reads: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth." In this world of fakers and liars, I pray you find not just my art, but my life be true. I may no longer be a flea, but I aspire to change into a butterfly one day. Then, I will aspire to soar and become a bird.
