Should we discard some parts or try to harmonize them, since many things don't fit together and cannot be fully harmonized? God making X happen after an earnest plea from a follower is literally just an answered prayer. This is an extremely basic Christian practice and I'm not sure why there would even be a discussion like this. Also, bringing in Talmudic literature to deconstruct or disprove Christian theology is just silly.

my fav stories from rabbinic lit are the ones where people argue with G-d and he changes his mind. see "Pious Irreverence: Confronting God in Rabbinic Judaism" by Doc Weiss for a bunch of examples
