just in a nutshell I will tell you slow urbanization of the state is the biggest setback affecting the efforts of the Kogi State based youths from thriving. Careers, Skills and Businesses only flourish where there's development.

Glad someone finally decided to talk about this.
I saw a post last week where the governor said Kogi youths aren’t lazy, and I shared my thoughts on my Facebook page.
As someone who ran a business in Kogi State for few years, I can honestly say it was a struggle. Many business owners work tirelessly for years and still can’t afford a car, build a house, or even buy land. For a lot of people, the business simply becomes a means of surviving from hand to mouth.
Of course, not everyone’s experience is the same, but this was mine, and it’s one I’ve seen many others share. It really makes you wonder: what exactly is holding Kogi State back? Why does it often seem easier for Kogites to thrive after leaving the state than while building something within it?
It’s a conversation worth having.

I think the enabling environment in Kogi State makes it hard for business to thrive in Kogi State

Personally, I don’t think Kogi is the best place for a young person just starting out after NYSC. Opportunities are limited businesses struggle and it can be frustrating if you’re trying to build a career or start a business. Some people succeed there, but for many, moving elsewhere offers better chances for growth.

Kogi is structurally failing or already failed, there is basically no way to make it work, i was an upcoming software engineer back there, it was so hard almost impossible to come out of that state and remain sane

What then would you say about those from kogi that are actually doing okay in business there?
Atleast, within the industries that are there and active.

One of the biggest reasons Kogi State is struggling to move forward is tribalism. We often see ourselves first as Igala, Ebira, or Okun instead of as Kogites. Our languages may be different, but our future is the same.
Progress will come when we put unity above tribe and focus on what is best for the state, regardless of who is in office. Let’s work together, hold every leader accountable, and build a better Kogi for everyone. United, we are stronger.

The witches and ancestral spirits are more than the people living in the state ,they are more focused in the downfall of people ,the more you sit to think about it ,the more your eye gets open to some particular things .
