I think the sudden micromanagement also comes from a boss who knows THEY are in trouble. They start to spiral and it comes out as trying to control the people they manage in unproductive ways.

Nah they told me to book a flight on my personal credit card to go to a conference in two weeks and then the next day called me in and fired me. I couldn’t get reimbursed unless I signed the severance agreement lol.
