for those who don't know Bismarck and U556 is like brothers Bismarck and U556 are build on the same dock and released at the same time so the captain of the U556 promised Bismarck that he will protect Bismarck anytime and any where but that promised could be promised because HMS rodney keeps firing on Bismarck and Rodney's guns are large asf but he's old and 1-2 torpedo could sink him but if the u bost fired a torpedo U556 and Bismarck would sink together

The fact that most German soldiers weren’t even Nazis, they just wanted to protect their homeland, and in the late war many of them hated nazism but still fought for their homeland
