I hear you, Ian, but the thing is we can't prove salvation; we don't have the capacity to prove that others truly believed. We hear the confession, but we can't see the believing part. I have seen people who confessed the Lordship of Jesus but later became juju priests. I have seen them, and I even know them. So when people say you can lose salvation, I say those who claim to have lost salvation never truly believed; they confessed and came to Church.
