I go to confession but I probably won't talk with a priest anymore about personal issues. Ill do my state my sins and do my penace. Its truly hard to divulge things because I haven't been treated with care from priests.

My priest just announced yesterday that he will be taking a sabbatical to strengthen his faith and go on a spiritual awakening. I hope whatever he is struggling with, God will give him the strength to endure it.

That's because people are supposed to confess that sins to God directly, then to their friends or other trusted people, only if it's beneficial. Think how much more time it would take if everybody confessed every little stiffish thought. They definitely only talk about a minority of their sins and don't even know about many of them. So you're exhausted from the responsibility because it isn't actual yours. God is the one who forgives sins.
