I had my supposed best friend and her sister wish my son a happy birthday on Facebook in June, a little boy who has only seen them once in a blue moon, but when my friends husband sadly died suddenly a week later, not one of our mutual friends or her sister reached out to tell me - I found out via Facebook after my friend posted a very rare picture of her and her late husband with no caption, just lots of condolence comments from the people who were already knew. I’d let go of this friendship two years ago because of the subtle jealousy which they thought I couldn’t see and the constant micromanaging of mutual interactions with our other friends, but then secretly going off and meeting them without me. 30 years of friendship down the drain. I did reach out to my friend after her husbands death, and we exchanged a few messages and then she didn’t reply to my last one. But she’s still checking out my stories on social media with zero interaction, and that’s how it’s been for the last 3 years. You have a whole army of supporters here. F*ck the rest of them. Xxx
