The dead fingers also tells another story. He obviously refused medical recommendations. I’ve seen this many times, not accepting that the fingers are gone. I wouldn’t be surprised if he refused to listen to the guide.

The guide is not going to risk his life to save another life. That is well explained expectations. The air is so thin and with limited resources it’s a huge risk to help others.

These comments are crazy, do y’all not forget the whole Everest scandal where the guides where purposely putting them in danger to get their medical insurance to pay, they was deprived of the correct oxygen and supplies

well i don't want to go on the guilds side but these are the risks you take when you go on some of these trips. its nobody's responsibility to make sure you make it up and back except your own!. its a tough choice but you always gotta look out for yourself. if that means leaving someone behind so be it
