If your gonna eat street food from like the stalls on the road eat the stuff that gets fried or cooked infront of you because if it has germs and that on the food it obviously gets fried so it kills the germs and bacteria, I lived in Indonesia for 6 years so ik it’s safe to eat and stuff

I was there last week, and I totally agree with you. The lines were just unbelievable! 😩 Some of the places we really wanted to visit, we ended up skipping because the queues were just too long. I was also very careful with the food and drinks. I made sure the restaurants and places we ate at looked clean and reliable. For drinking water, I bought sealed bottles from the shops, and with juices, I was a bit cautious and made sure they were fresh before drinking them. And you’re absolutely right about choosing the right accommodation. That makes such a big difference. The traffic was another thing sitting in the car for so long was exhausting. We used Uber because we didn’t really know our way around, but by the time we arrived at some places, we were already tired, only to find another long queue! 😂 So sometimes we just decided not to bother and either skipped the place or stayed long enough to take a photo and move on. 😅📸

That's why you shouldn't book everything in advance. Book your flight and first accommodation 7 to 14 days in advance , do it when you're there , as everything is completely different. Renting a scooter is easy, but if you don't have experience, don't rent one. The food is very good, but avoid seafood, as there are no health regulations for this type of product. Also, remember to get vaccinated. The sun is very strong and shouldn't be underestimated, otherwise you'll spend your vacation in the hospital treating sunburn. Don't forget to respect the locals, the culture, and the animals.
