My skin crawls when I see someone wearing pyjamas and bonnets in public, like, whey are people who you don’t share a living space with, seeing your bedroom clothes?

Everyone takes everything so personally, and maybe that’s part of why the world is the way it is today. There was a time when a child wasn’t raised by parents alone—it took an entire village. Guidance, correction, encouragement, and love came from many people, all with the shared goal of helping a child become a good human being. Somewhere along the way, we began seeing every correction as criticism and every difference of opinion as a personal attack. Perhaps if we learned to receive wisdom without taking offense, we’d build stronger people, stronger families, and stronger communities.

Nothing wrong with that, people need to hear the truth sometimes from people other than their parents.

People need to mind their own business. Not you place to tell someone else's child anything.

I’m not black but was raised in a blk hood and I applaud this because I’m tired of people giving excuses because of the “culture” if we wanna change people’s perspective we gotta start with the lil things like this!

Never seen anything wrong with a bonnet. It's like wearing a pyjama in public. If you're confident enough, go for it

she's the one starting the stereotype. I literally saw a 13 year old with a bonnet and thought nothing of it.

I hope no one minds my lily white butt saying this, but I always wondered, if you go to Target in one, out in public, when do you actually feel weird wearing one? I'm super self conscious, so I'm full makeup and hair when I leave the house. I truly have always wondered about this, but also thought, maybe it's protecting the hair from something, or am I just so weird and self conscious that I don't get the bonnet thing. Btw, if anyone is mad, I actually do have that 1% African American dna straight from the Congo 😂❤️
