This woman calls herself “Viral Christie.” She may have approached trans people for interviews in a way that seemed friendly, neutral or supportive. However, her public content is largely focused on confrontational discussions about trans people and gender identity. She often posts selectively edited street interviews and debate clips, which are then shared with an audience where anti-trans, mocking and abusive comments are common. So, if you were interviewed by her yesterday, please be aware that your footage may not be presented in the positive or neutral way you were led to expect. Your words could be edited, reframed or used in content aimed at a hostile audience.
