No one prepares you for that kind of stress. But here’s what actually helped us. I started telling TSA right away, ‘hey, my child has autism’… and they escorted us to a shorter line and we got through without any meltdowns. And once you get past TSA… that’s when your real game plan kicks in. Headphones are a must. Make sure your flight has WiFi—because when you need a distraction, you NEED it. Bring way more snacks than you think you’ll need. And for us, melatonin helped him actually rest on longer flights—but always check with your doctor first. That’s what works for us… and honestly, those little things make a big difference. #autismawareness #autismtravel
