Not the asshole. Sounds like sister-in-law is a good one. Lol. I am so grateful your spouse found a way to stand his ground. I recognize this is hard. Contribution to the wedding does not mean she gets to choose. 💙I know cultural differences can affect this - I’d say, have brother and sister in- law tell mother in law to drop it

I think it’s ironic when adults want the kids on the trip so badly that they will pay for a babysitter to come along so that they won’t have to spend quality family time with their kids. Man, just look after your own kids for a week.
