As we prepare for the return of Lord Jesus, there is one major obstacle you must be aware of. Do you know what it is? It is the deception of false Christs. The Bible has already clearly shown us how to discern them! The first point may surprise you, the third is crucial, make sure you read to the end— this is about your entrance into the Kingdom of God. First, false Christs imitate miracles. The Bible says: “For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.” (Mark 13:22 KJV) False Christs do not understand God’s plan of salvation. They only mimic the works of Jesus— healing, casting out demons, performing minor wonders to deceive people. But remember, they have no authority from God, cannot control life, cannot raise the dead or calm storms, and cannot perform the true mighty works of God. Second, they love to display themselves. The Bible warns: “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Matthew 24:5 KJV) False Christs are arrogant, always seeking attention for themselves, making people worship them instead of God. Jesus, on the other hand, was humble and concealed, never exalting Himself, always patiently teaching people how to worship God. Third, false Christs cannot declare the truth. It’s like ten people in white coats claiming to be doctors— only the one who can truly heal is a real doctor. False Christs may appear to do God’s work, but if they cannot declare truth, they are not Christ. Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6 KJV) Only God’s truth can supply life, show the way out of sin, lead us to fear, obey, and love Him, and draw our hearts closer to God. To prepare for the return of Jesus, you must listen to the truth Christ declares. If His words are truth, and they supply your life, then He is Christ— something no one can imitate.
