@the_collinsakin: The point of this video is not that startups are bad. It’s that I believe we’ve started glorifying startups while overlooking the harder work of building enduring businesses. A startup is typically a business designed to find a scalable model, often under conditions of uncertainty, and is frequently built with the expectation of rapid growth and, in many cases, external investment. A business (or company) is an organisation that creates value by consistently solving real problems for paying customers. Whether it’s a logistics company, a manufacturer, a farm, a construction firm, or a software company, its long-term success depends on execution, operations, customers, and sustainable value creation. My concern is not with startups themselves. My concern is with an ecosystem that celebrates fundraising more than profitability, pitch competitions more than customers, and valuations more than value creation. I know building a real company is hard. It means dealing with operations, hiring, logistics, infrastructure, regulation, customer service, cash flow, and countless problems that don’t make headlines. It’s slower. It’s messier. It’s less glamorous. That’s exactly why I believe we need more people willing to do it. Africa doesn’t just need more founders. We need more company builders. People who build factories, logistics networks, agricultural businesses, energy companies, manufacturing businesses, construction firms, software companies with sustainable revenue, and businesses that create jobs long after the headlines disappear. You don’t build an economy by raising funding alone. You build it by creating lasting value. Whether you agree with me or not, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Let’s have a serious conversation.

I think you should rephrase. You mean tech startups not just startups every business is a start up in the initial stages

Every company will start as a startup the key point is not to chase flashy business but the long lasting boring business that Africans actually need.

Everything you said is true. There’s is an agenda to push technology so youth can forget industrialization. Things will get hard if this agenda prevails

The mistakes is you’re declassifying startup as not a business. How do ? Startup is a early stage lifespan of a business process. I’m Confused
