Also, basically everyone supplements their diet, in some way to optimize nutrition. People have cupboards full of supplements, whey powder, creatine, vitamin D, magnesium, calcium etc. etc. …. But if vegans take a simple B12 all of a sudden it’s a problem.

I would rather take a B12 once a week, then take cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes, medication, and inject a GLP one continuously.

It's been continually proven by all of the data from all of the sciences throughout all times and places that consuming only plants and living a correct lifestyle doesn't require supplements. But supplements can allow you to slip a little bit and there's nothing wrong with taking them.✌

I grew up in rural Iowa, It was cheaper and easier to be vegan there than buying meat every week. I pay 20 dollars every three months for multivitamins .Most meat eaters are vitamin deficient, they just don't think about it because they think meat gives them everything they need

Meat and dairy don’t naturally have B12. It comes from the soil and most farmed animals never see grass. Animals are literally given supplements.

I agree with rozlyn, imagine a person from Africa who doesn’t have access to artificial supplements, a vegan diet is not good for that person, an omnivore diet is….omnivore diet is the default and healthy option in terms of human health, veganism is an alternative that is very inconvenient for humans and needs to be supplemented by other substances that need to be manufactured

Little does she know animals are pumped with “supplements” and reports show the majority of adults take a form of supplements across all diets

People can have absorbtion issues not matter what they eat. I have pernicious anemia and only found out because I asked for a baseline B12 test right after inwent vegan. I was dangerously low and they would not have checked typically because of my age. Not to mention the whole supplement industry that exists and thrives at least in the US.

look, I’m all about people working within their situation and their preferences. I’m professional distance. Coach and I work with vegans vegetarians, have not come across the carnivore, but I think that would be an interesting one to work with for these specific limitations of not having carbohydrates in your diet. But I think with this person was trying to say is if you literally can’t get the nutrients out of the food sources then it’s probably lacking in some area. My big Takeaway would be that anything that’s super restrictive is inherently going to lead to needing to fill nutritional short falls outside of the food you’re consuming. Do that woman’s point barring supplementation you would likely be very low in B12 although you can get that from some forms of psychology. There are other B vitamins that tend to be very hard to consume in large quantities to get the daily recommended amounts. I had a discussion with somebody recently who claimed that as a carnivore they could get every nutrient they needed because they could get their vitamin C from eating. I believe it was the pancreas of chickens or something like that. And I said so you’re telling me that the only way to not get a serious deficiency was to eat this one food source that is very challenging to get every single day? To me that makes things super restrictive and hard to work with. Obviously taking a supplement is not nearly as challenging as what I just put out there, but what I think they’re saying is that you have to fill the food shortcomings with specific supplementation. That doesn’t mean that it’s unhealthy. But that means that there are limitations that you have to be very cognizant of in filling with ingestion of products that would not be considered food. And love that you found something that works well for you and it sounds like you’re doing it because you’re passionate in some way about your vegan diet. But to me with a little bit that you showed up this person’s back-and-forth, that would be my Takeaway and what they were trying to say.

B12 is made from the large intestine. Dogs and gorillas eat shit. In other words, if you eat feces, you can take B12💩
