I don't understand Ukrainians; I don't know if they are just that susceptible to propaganda or if they are simply stupid. This war would have ended long ago were it not for the Ukrainian President's ego (which is the size of Mars); Putin had proposed peace—with Russia getting one Ukrainian region—but the Ukrainian President "heroically" dug in his heels, refusing to cede even a scrap of Ukrainian land. At first glance, this might look like patriotism, but if you look closer, it’s something else entirely: he is dragging out the war solely for the sake of Western money, which he uses to line his own pockets. I also see his attitude toward Poland; despite the immense support Poland provides—military aid, economic assistance, taking in refugees, and so on—the Ukrainian President names a military unit "Heroes of the UPA" without regard for relations with Poland, and even threatens Poland despite the help it has given. Ukrainians with a "nationalist" mindset venerate genocidal organizations (the UPA) and Nazi units like the "SS Galicia" division; they hurl insults at Poles, destroy Polish public property, and there have even been instances of murder. And yet, Ukrainians complain that Poles do not tolerate them.
