Staten Island Ferry is free and goes by the Statue of Liberty. The NYC Ferry is only $4.50 one way and I always recommend visitors take it from midtown to DUMBO and at sunrise or sunset or nighttime. You’ll see the skyline and bridges.

If you go back, you can take the Staten Island Ferry for free. It doesn’t stop at the Statue of Liberty but you get a great view of it.
