Life isn't necessarily getting cheaper. And that's made me think differently about retirement. Here are five expenses that I believe many of us are paying closer attention to today: 1️⃣ Groceries Every trip to the store seems to cost a little more than it used to. 2️⃣ Healthcare Medical expenses can become a much bigger part of the budget as we get older. 3️⃣ Retirement What once felt like enough savings may not go as far as we hoped. 4️⃣ Home Repairs A new roof, an HVAC system, or even everyday maintenance can add up quickly. 5️⃣ The Freedom to Stop Working For many people, retirement doesn't look exactly the way they imagined years ago. I'm not sharing this because I believe we should live in fear. I'm sharing it because I believe we deserve to prepare instead of simply hope everything works out. That's one of the reasons I decided to learn a new skill. Not because I was looking for a shortcut. OrNot because I expected overnight success. But because I wanted another option.
