@mashaspeaches: Same advice applies. Build muscle by strength training consistently. Eat mostly whole foods. Don’t fear carbs. They are not the enemy. Don’t spend hours doing excessive cardio, body doesn’t need that stress #pcos #pmos

I’m super excited, for years YEARS I’ve been told “ it’s all in my head” that it’s “ normal to gain weight at my age ( I’m 28 ) “ I went from 120 to 223 pounds rapidly. I’ve tried everything. Every doctor I’ve seen refused to do the tests I needed. I pushed and pushed, changed doctors and finally within the year I’ve been diagnosed with hEDS and PCOS ( now PMOS ) and IBS. my conditions were SO bad that I was getting severely sick. Colds every month. I’m now on a 6 month medical leave, on a GLP-1, eating lean proteins, making sure I’m active and slowly… everything is getting better and I’m loosing weight!

I have also found strength train the best thing for perimenopause, it’s the only thing that’s helped shift the weight. Unfortunately I now have glute tendinopathy, so can’t train ☹️
