I've recently come to the conclusion that not getting a job after graduating was a blessing in disguise. I honestly would've been a cog in the machine. Being unemployed opened my eyes to the realities I never would've seen otherwise. Even my definition of success and wealth have changed. I am so grateful that my perspective has changed. Forgive them for they genuinely don't know any other perspective in life. Education produces employees not innovators.

Very true. NRF Rating is one tool that kills philosophy to PhD holders. Many PhD holders are highly trained technicians.That is why others insist that there is no philosophy in our PhDs. That also explains what you say.

I think it's also important to note that PHD doesn't mean the person is brilliany and wise. It may only mean they have researched and wrote a lot about their topic. The same topic that still has gaps, for future researchers to fill. We need to forgive the myopic view though!
