For years, the sirens have been ringing over people’s heads day and night, but as night falls, their noise intensifies and their volume rises, as if they were yet another means of depriving Gazans of their most basic rights: sleep and rest. Children wake up terrified, the sick cannot sleep, and families spend their nights to the sound of the occupation’s incessant, grating sirens, which hardly ever stop. هذه الأصوات ليست جديدة علينا ، بل رفيقة قسرية لسنوات طويلة من المعاناة. منذ أعوام والزنانات تحلق فوق رؤوس الناس ليل نهار، لكن مع حلول الليل يزداد ضجيجها وارتفاع صوتها، وكأنها وسيلة إضافية لسلب الغزيين أبسط حقوقهم: النوم والراحة. أطفال يستيقظون مذعورين، ومرضى لا يستطيعون النوم، وعائلات تقضي لياليها على وقع صوت زنانات الاحتلال المزعج الذي لا يكاد يتوقف.
