Did absolutely nothing to fix the problem, sealing a crack, water will still find the lowest point. you need some piers or braces

Not the proper correction. Obviously grading is important, but you have to fix the side effects of the improper drainage. If the crack is visible from the interior, it has worked its way through the outer face of the block. The crack should be sealed once it is stabilized with a membrane. Concrete is pourous and by sealing the crack at grade, all you’re going to do is allow the water to pressurize down through the cores of the block and causes a crack elsewhere

do you not need to put any metal rebar to hold the concrete patch together? wouldn't the crack just separate again since the concrete isn't connected?
