I lost 6 stone in just under a year and I have lost over half my hair. It’s broken my heart. I used to have a mane like yours and it’s now so thin. I hate it. Now using collagen and biotin which is helping.

Hairdresser here, 50 years in.
Biometrically, your hormones determine how your hair loss pattern will present itself, post partum. Not to say that taking precautions and being proactive in the maintenance of said 'lions mane' isn't beneficial but your hair will do what your hair will do. I had a client that had rather large follicly challenged patches on her scalp, that looked pretty serious. In time, they eventually grew back and then some. Be patient. It's likely your hair will replenish itself more than you bargained for. 4 to 12 months is usually the 'molting season' then it turns around.

Best thing to do is put breastmilk on your scalp and leave it in for an hour or two and then wash it out. Breastmilk is the bomb for everything.

Does that happen because you are depleting yourself of nutrients because your breastfeeding and would a good nutritional supplement stop it from happening

Pumpkin seed oil with saw palmetto supplement will block the hormone that makes you lose your hair. I swear by it & every postpartum friend I’ve suggested it to swear by it as well.
