@unregulated.life: Replying to @Terry Brunk65 Better Make sure you understand the potential impacts before you vote. Research both sides and decide what's best for the state!Unless you just don’t care about what happens to those 10, 20, 30 years down the rd.. not your problem…#missouritok #august4 #politicstiktok #taxes
yeah I'm all for the overall idea, but both implementations sucks. I don't want a blank check for however much sales tax increases they feel like. a constitutional amendment should take more than 50.1%, but the convoluted proposed process isn't it, it should just require a 2/3 vote.

If they do away with a set income tax you better believe they are jacking up sales tax to whatever they want and property tax. It’s a trap

The one’s that want to keep us paying taxes are the ones that are the reason taxes are so high because they live off our taxes, kinda like taking candy away from a kid

People don't think about the amount of goods & services they use that aren't currently taxed either. If they add tax to that kind of stuff, it's going to start adding up pretty quickly. People on fixed incomes & low incomes will be hurt more than the rest. Instead of people saying really stupid stuff like "well if the dems are against it, I'm for it," they should really try using logic & facts instead of worrying about what party wants what. Neither party cares for us. They'll still get what they want one way or another unless we stick together. Taking away our voices & raising our taxes is only beneficial to who???? Not "we the people!" They keep "cutting costs" but we keep ending up in the red. Make it make sense.

4 is removing our choice. Which Missouri already refuses to listen to voters. So this is bad. Then we are handing Missouri a blank check to do whatever they want. vote NO on both 4 and 5

My issue is, we can vote no all day long but whatever we stop (ex rights to abortion) they just turn around months later and take our rights away. So who is to say if we vote no they won’t just go vote months down the line to change our votes? We can vote all day long but they just change them down the line to what they want them to be.

But your shooting yourself in the foot here. Your talking about the farms getting sold because of property taxes. My understanding is, Amendment 5 gets rid of property taxes (eventually), which would help those farms. Right? It gives govt. control of sales taxes, but does away with property taxes. Am I not understanding this correctly? Let me know, because I genuinely want to know.
