I grew up in NZ and ours was also like this until we got a dehumidifier, made such a bit difference!

Recently got so cold in Melbourne that our windows were still frosted over in the morning (it usually defrosts as soon as that Aussie sun rises) & I whipped out the squee-gee and my Australian partner looked so confused that 1) I had even thought of that and 2) that this is a common occurrence in NZ winters 😂😂😂

I keep my oil heater on low overnight it helps a lot, I also have an hrv. My room is south facing and gets no sunlight
