@g_ma_carol: That savory gravy… 🤤 #EasyRecipe #DinnerIdeas #slowcooker SMOTHERED CUBE STEAK (recipe) Ingredients: * 4–6 cube steaks * 1 medium onion, sliced * 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced * Salt and black pepper, to taste * Garlic and Onion powder, to taste * 2 cans (10.5 ounces each) cream of mushroom soup * 1 packet dry onion soup mix * 1 cup beef broth Directions: 1. Spread the sliced onions evenly across the bottom of your slow cooker. 2. Place the cube steaks over the onions, overlapping slightly if necessary. 3. Season the steaks with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. 4. Add the sliced mushrooms over the steaks. 5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix, and beef broth until combined. 6. Pour the mixture evenly over the mushrooms and steaks. 7. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours, or until the cube steaks are tender. (7 hours on low) 8. Serve the steaks and mushroom gravy over rice or mashed potatoes. Helpful note: The soup and dry onion mix both contain salt, so season the steaks lightly. You can always add more before serving.
