Exactly!! Our BCM laid this and she usually lays dark eggs. 🤣 talk about running out of ink. That bottom was nice and dark too! We always give disclaimers for our BCM customers!

You also have to be careful online. I was stupid & got eggs on eBay. They were the most beautiful eggs I’d ever seen. When they didn’t hatch I did a float test & the color came off!! The water turned yellow/orange! I did get them shut down & reimbursed but hard lesson to learn

This was a good video. I haven’t ordered any eggs but I did recently add olive eggers to my flick and had wondered why the eggs used to be dark olive green but are almost light blue now. I looked it up because I was concerned there was something wrong her. It was really interesting to learn about how chickens with darker egg colors produced that color and why they fade during the season.

I don't even know what kind of chickens I have, nor do I care what color eggs they are going to have. I don't get what the big deal is about the "pretty colors"... Can someone maybe explain to me why it matters?

I bought three blue copper marans and NONE of them lay them as dark as i thought they would AND their eggs are smaller compared to the rest of my flock. Kinda disappointed not gonna lie LOL .. they just started laying too
