it doesn't excuse it but it absolutely isn't how your subconscious operates. there's a reason people who are drunk cannot consent. because they're not in a state where they're aware of what they're doing. if this logic is true. that would also mean a drunk person can consent which is false. this is the same reason you always wake up regretting ur actions when you do drink too much. gotta watch yourself

As if good and bad aren't subjective terms shaped by the context one grew up in. Being black out drunk shuts down the parts of the brain that control choices and good sense. Everyone can do "evil" stuff when drunk, regardless of their ethical positions. And assuming morals are objective (premise, they are not), a "perfectly good person" wouldn't get black out drunk in the first place .
