The Mummy 1999 did it well. It's been at least 20 mins between them reading from the book of the dead and finding the sarcophagus empty. Then Imhotep is just wandering around barely able to gather back a few organs. Stumbles into Benny and hears him speak the language of the slaves and is like "You sound like a slave and I could really do with a slave right now, I'm too tired to do this all on my own."

Actually hate when the big bad immediately kills the minion who was super loyal and revives or summons them, like it’s so dumb, you were trapped or dead for so long and you wanna take out the support that you very well might need again? Like how you gonna have followers when they know you’ll just instantly betray them

I think it would be more intimidating if a villain took the time to wake up from the dead. If they have time to kill, then they're not afraid of you.

In d&d I play a cleric who hates using necromancy. Not because it's "unholy" but because it's rude!

I loved the subversion on the corpse bride, mainly because is so obvious, if the dead rise, everybody gets to see their beloved ones once more

Mine is still people burning toast in movies. I set my toaster to not burn bread, one & done. Does everyone who makes toast in movies just max out the setting every time? New toaster? Better crank it & see what this baby can do! (Yes, I’m well aware it’s shorthand for ‘this character can’t cook’, but still 🙄)

Eric Draven from the original Crow is the best depiction of this.

makes me think of that Underworld movie where they revive vampire Bill Knighey and he has to be hooked to an IV for a few days to rehydrate

Listen, someone wakes me from my nap and I get angry too. I completely understand it. A bit excessive? Maybe. Totally warranted? Absolutely.

A subversion of the trope would be FUN: second chances to do things differently this time around, a Villain going "Hmm, I guess I should have opened a pastry shop all along!"

Maybe if they completely crashed out because they weren't done sleeping yet, but I've yet to see that. Though at that point they may wipe out their allies too because why tf did they let their nap get interrupted?
