Been here for over 3 years now. If they transplanted this base somewhere else it wouldn’t be that bad. But Texas is hotter than satans ass after a night of binge eating Taco Bell. Also Killeen is trash.

Currently at Hood. The base itself isn't bad, being so huge it has pretty much everything. But the real good part is that its in between 5 different cities with plenty of stuff to do no matter your tastes/interests. Get out of Killeen and explore farther and you will find a lot to explore. Unit experience varies wildly but that is true no matter where you go

PCSed to Hood in 92 went to Korea in 96 and came back in 97 retired here in 03 and still here. Hot yes but the cold here will surprise you doesnt matter if youre from up north the cold here is not normal but the cold only lasts about 2 months.
