ok "am I a fish" is weirdly a way better question then it has any right to be. I mean you eliminate basically the entire main cast plus characters like Larry, Dutchman, pearl, and Karen. I kinda hate how many characters that question actually eliminates when you think about it.

am I a fish is actually a fantastic question cause like 90% of the noteworthy characters you would reasonably be able to call out by name are not fish so you can knock a lot of options very quickl. a sponge, a sea star, various octopi/squids, a crab, a lobster, a squirrel, a whale, a plankton, a damn bubble shaped like a person, a sea snail, a computer wife, a ghost pirate, a human man with an sponge obsession, a sea god and his daughter, two human men with the super power to breathe underwater. there are only about 4 or 5 characters that are actual fish that I could name off the top of my head.
