@tadash001: Hundreds of international students gathered in Calgary to protest after their Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) applications were denied. Many say they enrolled in their program believing they would qualify for a work permit after graduation.

Work permits and citizenship are not a given. Once your schooling is done you have to go back to your home.

There is a process that must be respected and followed. A student visa has never, ever been a guarantee of a work permit. You came, paid for your education, and you shall leave as soon as completed. Simple just like that!

I don't even understand how this is a thing. To me its simple, you get a visa to study in another country; you study and go back home. If you like it here that much then once your back home you apply for a permanent visa. Yes the process sucks, lots of things in life suck.
