I went from diesel to gas several years ago when buying a newer diesel meant using DEF. I'm not hauling big trailers so gas was fine. And I really, really didn't want to deal with DEF.

most the people I that have ran gas pickups and haul a lot once they get a hold of a diesel pickup they never go back. I personally like and prefer diesel for "ranch" work. But scooting around or like hauling a small atv trailer or a boat a gas does a good job.

I did some researching years shop and I figured with the extra life you can usually get from a diesel you were money ahead with a diesel if you’re working them hard

I’ve had many and many of both, I love my diesel for goin far down the hyway loaded but hauling around here and daily runnin I love my 7.3 gas ford. Hell I pull just as much with it as I do my diesel just close to home and it has no issues what so ever getting it done

gas mileage is terrible. I had a 450 with v10 and it wasn't pretty. the big Ford gas motor now gets 3-5 with a load

I like my diesel owned them I've been hauling. I probably would be fine with the gas now as we don't haul near as much what we used to be bopping in the hills I like the gas, but I do like the power of my diesel.
