We had my stepdaughter in private but she is so delayed it actually set her back even more. Personally I don’t see anything better between the 2 besides a hefty price tag. I was homeschooled that was through a public school system so I got to do sports through the local schools. I genuinely think it just depends on your kid specifically

Not official data, but just from my personal experience. I was a public middle school educator for 13 years. Every year I had at least one student join my 8th social studies class from a private school and they were always behind when it came the reading level and background knowledge. More than not they had to be in reading or math intervention classes. But I will also say- these students all usually came from the same private school in my area that was more focused on Christian education than anything else. Other private schools in the area have higher academic standards and rigor than this particular private school.

I went to mostly public schools and genuinely, most of them were a joke. I went to a charter school for 1 year and learned more there than I did at any other school. HOWEVER every school I went to had terrible control over students with bullying, misconduct and improper behavior. every school I went to had lazy students that didnt care about education or their personality. every school I went to had "hoodlums". my kids will be honeschooled for MANY reasons

My brother and I went k-12 private school. It truly doesn’t matter. It’s about parenting 100%
