I could be wrong but I'm sure it's probably just western fans of Sentai. probably some form of insecurity that what they like is overshadowed by power rangers in the west. either that or they have a Japan fetish. not sure which. Is it common for Japanese people to do this? I don't interact with them so I don't know.
