Alicent really robbed her children of so much. This season we really see how broken each one of them are due to Alicent and Otto's war. And also Viserys' failure as a father. Helaena would've thrived had she been given the chance to forge a proper relationship with Rhaenyra and have a marriage with Jace. It took Rhaenyra all of 5 seconds to understand what she was, meanwhile her own brothers bullied her, and her mother neglected her

Alicent once again getting blamed for the Targaryens being sh!t family members. If Viserys' wasn't an absentee father, he would've identified Helaena as a dreamer. We literally see Alicent trying to understand what Helaena says throughout the whole show.

This is so sad. Alicent really never taught her kids their heritage. How heleanas dreams were a gift. Rhaenyra could’ve been a great older sister to her siblings. She loved her siblings and would’ve spared them.

It wasn’t the norm for non-Targaryens to learn their history & lore, & women especially weren’t normally educated, so Alicent is basically illiterate while Rhaenyra was raised to rule , & was educated
