When u get a wellbred ethically bred dog you can almost guarantee ur dog wont inherit any genetic illnesses and you have a very very good idea on what their temperament will be like.structure is very important for the health and longevity of ur dog especially when you are going to be doing sports with them like I do and while some backyard bred dogs will live long healthy lives it is a massive gamble,even if you get a shelter puppy you still have no idea of how that dog will turn out when it’s older even if its purebred because purebred ≠ wellbred and it’s not all in how you raise them.ethical breeders goal is to improve the overall health of dogs and they do not gain money from breeding.i think adopting is great but it’s not realistic for everyone,ive also lived with a rescue dog before she was a lab we got as a tiny puppy was raised perfectly and still turned out agressive
