guy got flattened by a concrete wall that fell on him. before anyone called anyone, foreman had them lift the wall with crane so they could put a hard hat under it, that way the guys family could get benefits.

Excavator, was digging a hole with his sons. One son jumped in the hole to grab something they dropped. Dad swung the bucket too fast and cracked his head everywhere. His brother was trying to put his brains back in. Didn’t see it myself but the brother told me it in detail one night while drinking. Genuinely horrifying

My kids dad went to work one day when I was 9 months pregnant with our second baby.. he’s a diesel mechanic and was working on a boat docked at a local marina.. that marina had failed to maintain their electrical generator and there happened to be live current in the water where he was working. He was electrocuted and flat lined on that dock. He went 10 minutes without breathing, only chest compressions being preformed. They thought he was brain dead. He was in a coma for 3 days before he woke up, seemingly unscathed, only an exit wound from the electrical current on his chest over where his heart is… even the doctors called it a miracle he’s still alive and with a functional brain.

My Dad was a power lineman, he was actually supposed to be home but he worked overtime to help the new guy, a loose/cut powerline swung towards him and he blocked it with his arm, frying more than 70% of his body. Blessed to have him alive still. 🙏

I was a dad’s girl and my dad always gave and provided me everything I wanted. That man would move mountains for my mom, and I. One saturday he went to work. He never returned. I still remember holding his thermal and the coffee being warm. A pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

a guy in my town worked in a lumber factory and he was pulled into a wood chipper. he was only 19 at the time and no one in our town wanted to bring awareness to it bc he was hispanic. i remember his aunt worked at our school and i didn’t see her for weeks. it was so heartbreaking.

Not a workplace incident, but suicide gets a lot of blue collar men and women, even though the money is good, the job can be super stressful, always make sure to take care of yourself.
