I think a lot of the reason polygamy gets a bad wrap is because of religious influences. The only instances I can think of as far as polygamy is in a religious background whether that be certain Christian, Muslim, or jewish demonizations which occasionally lead to child and spousal abuse enabled by some sort of personal religious authority. Do we have any examples of secular polygamy?
