Lucy I’m Home✝️☕️ :
I’m sharing this because we all want to protect our children, not to argue with anyone. ❤️Please remember that the biggest danger after a child has been outside playing in extreme heat is heat illness, dehydration, and heat stroke — not a cup of cold water.
If a child is hot and thirsty, bring them to a cooler place, let them rest, and offer water. Cold water does not “shock” a healthy child’s body or cause their heart to stop.
If a child is experiencing heat stroke, they need to be cooled down quickly and given medical attention. Signs to watch for include confusion, fainting, vomiting, severe headache, extreme weakness, or acting differently than normal.
Let’s teach our kids to take breaks, drink water, seek shade, and listen to their bodies. The goal is keeping children safe. ❤️
