Those of us at the top can’t do a thing about those at the bottom. Those folks have agency. They make their own choices. They have minds of their own. They are their own worst enemy. When black women like C. Delores Tucker, Harry Belafonte, Jim Brown, etc tried to talk to them they called them itch and told them to SYBAU. I’m not taking responsibility for others…sorry. The culture they uphold has a chokehold on them and there is nothing anyone can do about it. While you might not see it as an individual thing it takes the individual looking in the mirror to make a change. The collective can’t do it for them.

The black experience is not a monolith. I watched the video I hear you and at the same time it sounds like compassion fatigue. Youth homelessness does exist. Some kids are outside because they don’t have anywhere to go literally. youth homelessness is much worse than people think. The get trafficked and some go unnoticed because they don’t have a home to go to .
