OHHHH, that makes so much sense. Clark stated he pushed people away before they could hurt him, and Captain Clark did the same when Clark began realized and accepted his life is a bad product of his own making, and by extension Captain Clark was aswell.

Clark was just an incredibly written character. I'm scared I'll end up like him. That's one of my real fears. The whole movie was very well made.

a really sad and underrated character who the second he knew it was ok to admit he was wrong died to the things that kept him comfortable. To me it kind of represents that delusions and cope are real and dangerous no matter what whether there drugs, or any form of escape
