Last time I was having an argument with my man about our daughter. She lives with his parents. He said he's the provider and I'm the "Mother", so i am more likely to spend more time with our daughter than him. I asked him if it happens that in future I earn more money than him and then automatically I become the provider what's going to happen to his role as a "provider"? That's when I said from now on he must leave out these gender-based roles cause they are not practical.
