Once stopped my ex boyfriend from paying over £10 for a necklace. He showed me and I literally saw the listing on shein in my head. Told him to the sellers face to put it back and I’d buy him it for over half the price - it’s from shein. Everyone around that stall walked away. Got the biggest stink eye.

ive seen my artist friends getting benched bcz theres "no space" and yet theres always space for some sort of 3d junk maker, aliexpress/temu reseller, ai mystery bag makers etc :/

last time I was at a convention, I was admittedly a little tipsy and feeling chaotic. So, I kept walking past the temu reseller tables loudly saying stuff like "oh shit, my mum got this EXACT plush for half the price on Temu!" or something like "I saw that poster online last week, didn't feel it was worth the $X" and the people running the booth just glare at me. Obviously I'd do my little bits of research to make sure I wasn't harassing a genuine artists 😅

Its so annoying especially when u consider alot of the stuff they sell is either stolen art, really poor quality and the fact that the table could've gone to an actual small buisness or artist or even a reseller of 2nd hand clothing, Actuall official art, 2nd hand books/comics/manga or old discontinued collectors items

I can’t get my work into some of the local cons but they have rows and rows of Temu resellers and 3d printed dragons. It’s so frustrating
