Dumpling A2069911, 4Y, Spayed, HW+ Ok guys bear with me cause this is a long one. Last week I was heading to BARC when I saw a Facebook photo about this dog laying in a parking lot. I typically NEVER go out looking for dogs but this dog looked SO MUCH like my Maya that I immediately put the address in my GPS and headed there. I looked around for an hour in the pouring rain. I didn’t find her but I did find a literal dog graveyard while I was there that you’ve probably now seen the news posts about (the videos are on my Instagram - warning they’re very hard to see). With the help of my friend Callie, BARC went out there the next morning to investigate the scene and FOUND HER while they were at it! I literally cried legitimate tears. I can’t believe she was living among all of those dead dogs. She was obviously heavily pregnant and the shelter ended up deciding to spay her. While I’m sure controversial, I’m very grateful that she was spayed and survived the surgery. She had 8 puppies that were not viable and I don’t feel she was in a condition to raise them. I went to meet her at the shelter and when I tell y’all she’s even better than I ever thought possible, I mean it. She’s THE SWEEEEETEST thing. That tail never stops wagging!! She’s a little teeny tiny spud. My friend @woofgangv temp tested her (she did great!!) and loved her too. I’m really worried about her and her medical. She’s not on the euthanasia list yet but I’m hoping to post her early to gauge interest and raise some pledges as I KNOW she will be expensive. Please share her far and wide!
