This is The Halls of Ink. Over the last few years I have documented some of the world’s greatest tattoo artists. I decided to turn that work into a resource where anyone in the world can discover incredible tattooing. Back in 2022 I had the idea for a tattoo artist directory called Inklore. I did not have the money to build it myself, but I took a gamble and sent $1500 to someone on a freelance platform to build it. I never heard from him again. A few years later you may have seen my artist list on CO. We are still great friends and partners, but their focus became building tools and booking systems for tattoo artists to run their businesses. My goal was different. I simply wanted a place where people could explore the artists I have documented in my studies. So in November I decided to finally build it myself. With just my computer and a few programs I began creating The Halls of Ink Archives. A global directory and community dedicated to tattoo culture and the world’s best tattoo artists. A place for tattooers to share their artand for collectors to discover it. Collectors can create a free profile and share their tattoos. Artists who are already in the archives, reach out so you can claim your free profile.
